About the job

Requirements
  • A completed higher technical education in Railway, Road and Bridge Engineering (CFDP), Construction, or Infrastructure.
  • Relevant experience designing roads, platforms, and site-development works; experience in energy, industrial, infrastructure, or EPC projects is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of geometric road design, pavement-structure sizing, earthworks, vertical site development, and road-infrastructure drainage.
  • Ability to interpret and use topographic, geotechnical, and hydrological studies, and to prepare and verify discipline-specific quantities.
  • Knowledge of Romanian regulations and standards applicable to road and infrastructure design.
  • Experience preparing technical documentation for SF, DTAC, PT, and DE design phases.
  • Advanced AutoCAD knowledge; experience with Civil 3D or other specialized infrastructure-design applications is an advantage.
  • Ability to coordinate technical work, collaborate across disciplines, and analyze and resolve technical problems by identifying efficient solutions.
  • Organization, attention to detail, a proactive approach, and ability to meet design deadlines.
  • Intermediate English.
  • Availability for occasional travel to project sites.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare technical documentation for access roads, service roads, platforms, and site-development works associated with energy and industrial projects.
  • Design and size road geometry, including horizontal alignment, longitudinal profiles, cross-sections, connections, and intersections, and design pavement structures according to terrain, traffic, and project requirements.
  • Design technical platforms and access areas for equipment, heavy machinery, cranes, and oversized transport; verify axle loads, clearances, turning radii, gradients, and bearing capacity.
  • Develop vertical site-development, earthworks, and stormwater collection and discharge solutions for roads and platforms, including cut-and-fill volume calculations.
  • Analyze and incorporate information from topographic surveys and geotechnical and hydrological studies, as well as technical requirements for equipment and project sites.
  • Prepare technical documentation for applicable design phases (SF, DTAC, PT, and DE), including drawings, technical memoranda, calculation notes, bills of quantities, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate road and site-development designs with other design disciplines and identify and resolve clashes involving roads, platforms, and other project elements.
  • Prepare technical documentation and clarifications for reviews and permitting, and participate in technical discussions with the client, design verifiers, authorities, and other project participants.
  • Provide technical support to construction teams, help resolve site issues, and verify actual site conditions when needed.
  • Comply with applicable legislation, regulations, and technical standards for roads and infrastructure, and review and implement comments on prepared documentation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in energy, industrial, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
  • Experience using Civil 3D or other specialized infrastructure-design applications.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Full-cycle engineering: the industrial-network role covers design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and handover to operating teams.
  • Technical breadth: Direct One's NOC engineer supports fibre, DWDM, and IP networks at both first and second support levels.
  • Accounting breadth: the Cluj economist role spans fixed assets, reconciliations, inventory, reporting, and audit participation.

What critics are saying

  • Nationwide deployment: industrial-network engineers must be available for project and on-site work across Romania.
  • Limited contract duration: the Cluj economist position is on-site and fixed for two years.
  • Language threshold: the Bucharest network-operations position requires advanced English and higher education in telecommunications or computing.

What makes E-INFRA unique

  • Carrier-neutral model: Direct One supplies dark fibre and bandwidth through a non-carrier telecommunications infrastructure network.
  • Open metropolitan access: Netcity makes Bucharest underground ducts and fibre available equally and transparently to telecommunications operators.
  • Founder oversight: Teofil Muresan chairs the group board, while co-founder Simion Muresan serves as vice chairman.
