Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Extensive knowledge of floor care products is required.
- Working knowledge of multiple hard floor surfaces, including marble, granite, and VCT, is required.
- Working knowledge of carpet cleaning procedures, including shampooing, extracting, and bonneting, is required.
- Ability to perform window cleaning and power washing duties is required.
- Planning, scheduling, and problem-solving abilities are required.
- Time management skills are required.
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate, and follow up are required.
Responsibilities
- Perform floor care cleaning services, window cleaning, and general janitorial duties according to client and company standards.
- Provide quality workmanship in a timely and effective manner while ensuring punctuality, safe practices, and compliance with floor care procedures.
- Maintain floor care equipment and complete work assignments in detail to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Understand and practice client and company safety programs, promote safety to team members, and wear required personal protective equipment when performing work.
- Perform floor care work, including stripping and refinishing hard surface floors, carpet care and extraction, and operating specialized floor care equipment.
- Perform work assignments as directed and in compliance with floor care procedures and processes.
- Inspect assigned areas during and after work to verify compliance with site-specific procedures and the client's scope of work.
- Keep supplies stocked, ensure equipment is clean and operational, and report malfunctioning equipment promptly.
- Track inventory and equipment, provide feedback to the direct manager, and monitor utilization for efficient and cost-effective use.
Desired Qualifications
- One or more years of floor technician experience is preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills are preferred; Spanish is a plus.
