Requirements
  • The candidate must have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.

  • The candidate must be actively pursuing an associate degree in Nursing, an LVN program, a Physical Therapy field, or an EMT program.
  • The candidate must have five years of healthcare experience.
  • The candidate must have effective interpersonal skills and written communication skills to work with all levels of personnel within the organization.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision, handle sensitive and confidential information, and maintain a high degree of accuracy.
  • The candidate must be able to sort large volumes of work.
  • The candidate must have effective oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate must have Workers' Compensation experience.
  • The candidate must have marketing or business-relations experience.
  • The candidate must have knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and safety standards.
  • The candidate must have intermediate personal-computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • The candidate must be a United States citizen.
  • The candidate must be eligible for Facility Access Authorization, also referred to as Employment Authorization, from the designated United States Government security office.
  • The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe.
  • The candidate must maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all requests for cardiopulmonary resuscitation classes, including creating and closing classes, providing reports to business units, and paying invoices.
  • Assist in assembling automatic external defibrillators and updating the tracking system.
  • Scan hard copies of old workers' compensation files into the electronic content-management system, sort old pulmonary-function x-rays, and arrange them for boxing.
  • Handle ergonomic-assessment requests by sending forms to employees, directing employees to computer-based training, reviewing ergonomic checklists, and coordinating one-to-one assessments.
  • Maintain and order medical supplies and assemble supplies when requested.
  • Assist with obtaining vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and blood sugar.
  • Assist with safety-event notifications and work with Safety Specialists on root-cause analysis of work-related injuries.
  • Participate in accommodation requests with People and Culture, management, and legal teams.
  • Participate in business continuity and public-safety education programs.
  • Participate in and support safety meetings, training, and goals.
  • Provide communications and responses to internal and external correspondence.
  • Collect and analyze internal and external data relating to Occupational Health programs, services, and opportunities within the business community.
  • Market to new and existing companies to create new business.
  • Provide customer service for all accounts.
  • Serve as the hospital's Occupational Health representative to the business community and the public.
  • Assist physicians with patient-related procedures and examinations.
  • Perform alcohol and drug-screen collections.
  • Administer pulmonary-function tests.
  • Administer audiometric testing using a microprocessor audiometer.
  • Administer electrocardiograms with technical accuracy.
  • Collect all necessary patient health information.
Desired Qualifications
  • The candidate is currently enrolled in Nursing School, a Medical Assistant program, a Physical Therapy program, or an EMT program, or is interested in the field of medicine.
  • CMA or LPN certification is preferred.
  • Healthcare-management or supervisory experience is preferred.
