  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

  • Proficiency with computer systems, preventive-maintenance systems, and Microsoft applications is required.
  • Knowledge of maintenance duties, programs, and requirements in a regulated food-manufacturing environment or similar industry is required.
  • Knowledge of food-industry regulatory requirements and support requirements for utility functions, including refrigeration and freezing systems, boilers, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, and programmable logic controllers, is required.
  • Ability to resolve routine discrepancies and problems arising during daily tasks is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritize work accordingly is required.
  • Ability to apply basic reasoning and follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions is required.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret data and draw logical conclusions is required.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking in standardized and non-routine situations is required.

Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise maintenance projects and ensure machinery, grounds, and buildings remain in working condition and meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in supervising and maintaining the preventive maintenance program.
  • Supervise maintenance department personnel in daily operations to minimize downtime and costs and maintain a zero-accident objective.
  • Organize work, assign priorities, and schedule the repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment supporting production operations.
  • Identify and recommend cost-reduction opportunities with operating teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product development, and quality assurance departments to resolve maintenance-related issues.
  • Supervise and maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory.
  • Participate in hiring and developing skilled maintenance associates.
  • Resolve routine problems and discrepancies arising during daily tasks.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects and prioritize work accordingly.
  • Perform other assigned projects and duties.
