Boone Health earns renewal of Level I STEMI Center designation, reinforcing commitment to exceptional heart attack care. June 23, 2026 Boone Health maintains the highest level of heart care while earning recognition as the state's top hospital for the lowest readmissions rates and a Top 100 Socially Responsible Hospital. COLUMBIA, Mo. - Boone Health has successfully completed its renewal survey and received redesignation as a Level I STEMI Center by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), reaffirming its ability to provide the highest level of care for patients experiencing severe heart attacks. "Receiving redesignation as a Level I STEMI Center is a testament to the dedication, expertise and teamwork of our physicians, nurses, emergency responders and support staff," said Brady Dubois, CEO of Boone Health. "This recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care close to home and ensuring Mid-Missouri patients have access to life-saving cardiac treatment when every minute matters." The Level I STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) designation recognizes hospitals that meet rigorous standards for the rapid diagnosis and treatment of the most serious types of heart attacks. To maintain this designation, hospitals must undergo a comprehensive review process every three years. The redesignation adds to a growing list of recent recognitions for Boone Health. Recently, Boone Health was recognized by Becker's Hospital Review as the top hospital in the state and the only hospital in the mid-Missouri region with the lowest hospital readmission rates.
