Requirements
- A master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- A valid New York State Professional Registered Nurse license.
- A medical-surgical nursing background with 3-5 years of experience, including clinical supervision of students.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification for the Professional Rescuer or Health Provider.
- The ability to work in a self-directed and organized manner.
Responsibilities
- Complete facility orientation prior to the start of clinical.
- Create patient assignments prior to the start of the clinical day.
- Supervise students in all aspects of care of patients and clients.
- Review and provide feedback for all written clinical assignments.
- Submit grades for assignments as directed by the course coordinator.
- Provide weekly feedback to students in the clinical area.
- Complete midterm and final clinical evaluations.
- Plan instructional activities for pre- and post-conferences.
- Communicate issues at the clinical site with the course coordinator.
- Be responsible for all clinical hours assigned to the course.
- Assist in proctoring exams if needed.
- Attend faculty meetings once a semester.
