Secure Login Systems Specialist
IBKR is looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with operational experience in two-factor authentication systems to join our team and help shape one of the world’s strongest brokerage brands. The ideal candidate will join the team responsible for deploying, managing, and supporting our in-house IBKR Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) devices at IBKR. This person will report to the Technical Assistance Center Manager in Chicago, Illinois.
Your Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in secure login systems (IBKR 2FA, SMS and physical security devices).
- Process escalations from first-level analysts who troubleshoot and resolve issues related to secure login devices to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Monitor and analyze trends and patterns, link them to client challenges, and propose solutions.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to user authentication while ensuring industry regulations are considered.
- Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues from different client services and client operations by instructing them on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Take ownership of the lifecycle of 2FA devices across all regions, including inventory tracking, maintenance, and decommissioning of expired or damaged devices.
- Implement a monitoring system for 2FA device usage, including regular audits, and proactively identify and address any anomalies rather than reactively.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (STEM). A Master’s degree is recommended.
- In-depth knowledge of two-factor authentication protocols and device types
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to secure login systems such as OAuth
- Experience and advanced usability knowledge of common desktop and mobile operating systems
- Exceptional experience in Excel and/or other data analytic tools is a must.
- Languages: Fluent in English. Any additional language is a plus.

- Experience with independent data analysis and data tracking.
- Strong communication skills (spoken and written) to effectively convey security concepts to non-technical and technical staff.

- Ability to learn and adapt to new information and technology platforms
- Proven skills in time management and prioritization
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and make real-time decisions while maintaining accuracy
- Basic understanding of JIRA, Confluence and other problem, task, and knowledge management software
