Requirements
  • Ability to use hand tools and follow blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel regularly, including some overnight travel.

Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Service products and equipment on assigned projects and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
  • Prepare for on-site installations and repairs by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
  • Inspect vehicles for condition and cleanliness.
  • Maintain vehicles by keeping service records, scheduling service, and completing repairs and maintenance.
  • Inspect equipment for signs of wear and notify the customer and/or Operations Manager of findings.
  • Document each job by completing paperwork and maintaining files, including daily time, progress, and duration.
  • Represent the company as a direct customer contact.
  • Determine parts to order for repairs and the timeliness of need.
  • Record parts, material, labor, subcontractor, and other cost data per assignment, and return unused resources.
  • Submit required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
  • Keep current on products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
  • Read and interpret product specifications.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
