Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are required.
  • Experience with dealing with senior management, presentations, project management, intermediate Excel, presentation/deck building, data collection and analysis, team building, and supervision.
  • Ability to travel in the United States and overseas as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Meet with hiring managers and senior alumni at major strategy firms that hire MBA students into summer associate and full-time positions.
  • Develop strategies for generating opportunities at other consulting and technology firms.
  • Segment outreach efforts by domestic and international markets.
  • Visit alumni and hiring managers and interact with them virtually to surface associate and consultant opportunities and elicit job postings.
  • Coordinate outreach with the Corporate Engagement team, maintain employer relationship activity in the school's career management platform, and collaborate on business development and employer stewardship.
  • Manage assigned accounts and generate new accounts strategically and tactically.
  • Provide career strategy, professional positioning, competitiveness, skill-building, and professional preparation guidance to domestic and international MBA candidates pursuing consulting careers.
  • Motivate students to move through search phases and prepare for interviews with MBA employers.
  • Use external resources, employer partnerships, career technologies, and labor market information to prepare students for employment in management consulting.
  • Conduct and critique mock interviews and arrange additional interviews with industry experts.
  • Train Student Career Advisors to provide basic coaching on resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, networking strategies, social media, and online career resources and tools.
  • Consult and coach candidates on associate and full-time offers.
  • Monitor the employment status of assigned students.
  • Conduct outreach to students, track contacts, and report activities.
  • Design and deliver workshops and presentations relevant to students' career interests, employer expectations, and market needs.
  • Plan and support annual career programming, including webcasts, case interview preparation, product management, analytics and consulting boot camps, certification training, MBA career workshops, orientation, TechTreks, and corporate tours.
  • Assess programs to continuously improve and personalize career management programs for MBA candidates.
  • Assist with online and print promotional activities in the United States and other countries.
  • Offer in-service training to staff and student leaders.
  • Perform managerial, strategic planning, meeting, admissions/MBA liaison, club liaison, and faculty/area liaison duties as assigned.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor student workers.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree such as an MBA.
  • 10 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • An MBA or degree/coursework in management consulting.
  • Customer/client-facing experience in management consulting, recruitment management, executive search, relationship management, sales, business development, or graduate business career services.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing others in a corporate setting.
  • Business development experience in a corporate or education setting.
  • Knowledge of MBA recruiting and hiring practices in consulting.
  • Knowledge of consulting labor markets for international and domestic MBA students.
  • Experience with organization, time management, process improvement, customer feedback loops, and results-oriented work.
  • Experience living or working internationally or working with international students or employees.
  • Willingness and ability to work nights and weekends as needed to meet program objectives.
