Ethos Technologies has expanded its partnership with Banner Life Insurance Company to offer two new Ethos-branded whole life insurance products: Simplified Issue Whole Life and Guaranteed Issue Whole Life. The products will be available through Ethos' technology platform, extending the company's final expense solutions to more families. The collaboration moved from concept to market launch in under five months. Ethos now offers 12 products through its platform, working with carriers including Banner Life, TruStage Financial Group, Ameritas Life Insurance, Protective, North American Sammons and Aflac. The new whole life products will initially be available through select agencies and aim to help families cover end-of-life and other expenses. Both companies emphasised their shared commitment to closing the US life insurance coverage gap through more accessible and affordable solutions.
Citi has raised its price target on Ethos Technologies Inc. to $16 from $15, maintaining a Buy rating following the company's strong Q4 results. The bank cited sustained operational momentum and acceleration continuing into Q1. Ethos reported Q4 revenue of $110.1 million, beating consensus estimates of $108.32 million, with 65% year-over-year growth. The digital life insurance platform reached 500,000 activated policies, a key milestone for adoption. The company projects fiscal 2026 revenue between $510 million and $514 million, representing approximately 32% year-over-year growth, with adjusted EBITDA of $99 million to $103 million. Founded in 2016, the Austin-based company uses AI and data science to modernise life insurance distribution through a no-medical-exam application process.
Carousel Capital has closed a continuation vehicle for Ethos, a national provider of tech-enabled insurance claims investigation and medical management solutions. The vehicle is anchored by Dextra Partners, with Carousel Capital Partners VI making a significant investment alongside. Since partnering with Ethos in 2020, Carousel has supported the company's transformation from a specialised investigations provider into an integrated platform offering comprehensive services. Under CEO Micah Smith, Ethos has expanded nationally, completed strategic acquisitions and invested in its proprietary Sightline operating system and AI-enabled tools like Pathfinder. The continuation vehicle will support further technology investment, expansion of medical management offerings and deeper market penetration. Ethos has also established a new senior credit facility led by Freeport Financial, with participation from Apogem Capital and Barings.
Ethos, a life insurance technology platform, priced its initial public offering at $19 per share, the middle of its expected range of $18-$20. The company offered 5.13 million shares of class A stock in the listing.
The company and the selling shareholders sold 10.5 million shares at $19 apiece, the midpoint of its targeted range of $18 to $20 a share. The IPO valued Ethos at about $1.2 billion, based on the number of shares outstanding mentioned in its prospectus. Ethos, backed by venture capital firms Accel and Sequoia, said its platform and underwriting engine transform the buying, selling, and risk management of life insurance, helping customers secure coverage in minutes rather than months.
