Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Registered Nurse).
  • Current Registered Nurse state licensure.
  • Experience in clinical nursing.
  • At least 6 months of chronic or acute dialysis nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies and management skills, including communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, results orientation, team building, motivating employees, performance management, and decision making.
  • Management skills necessary to supervise facility personnel and ensure delivery of quality patient care.
  • Successfully passed the Ishihara Color Blind Test.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the dialysis facility in accordance with legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure quality patient care and continuity of care from admission through discharge.
  • Make daily decisions concerning patient care, patient safety, and staff safety.
  • Market available services through presentations to physicians and dialysis facilities.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for direct reports.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Quality, Education, and Technical Services departments.
  • Oversee the facility’s Home Therapies Program with the Home Therapies Program Manager.
  • Maintain medical and operational records and complete required data collection, auditing, coding, network reporting, and surveys.
  • Coordinate facility objectives, staffing, costs, methods, and operational results.
  • Administer daily clinic business operations, including center staff, patient care quality, physical plant, equipment, and inventory.
  • Manage profit and loss and related financial aspects to achieve budget and key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate patient care and address patient and family concerns.
  • Oversee patient care assessments and care plans.
  • Manage patient schedules and develop action plans for missed treatments.
  • Report changes in patient status, including clinical, insurance, travel, and transportation issues.
  • Participate in selection and hiring, employee orientation, mandatory training, licensure tracking, employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, staffing, and payroll.
  • Facilitate physician privileges and maintain effective physician relationships and communication.
  • Implement continuous quality improvement and quality assessment and improvement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, company policies, quality standards, and risk management initiatives.
  • Manage facility staff workload, schedules, guidance, feedback, performance evaluations, goals, hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain facility environmental integrity, security, equipment, operating systems, physical structure, inventory, supplies, medications, and laboratory resources.
  • Coordinate payroll, billing support, provider contracts, internal and external surveys, and facility policy updates.
  • Supervise Charge RN and DPC staff.
  • Interact with patients, facility staff, and physicians in the healthcare facility.
  • Travel to regional, Business Unit, and Corporate meetings as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role in a medical facility.
  • Medical-surgical or intensive care unit/coronary care unit experience.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with medical database software.
