Requirements
  • Be board-certified as a physician with active ABMS or AOA Board Certification in Family Medicine or dual board certification in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
  • Complete a 3-year Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine residency.
  • Have at least 3 years of post-residency experience in a fast-paced Urgent Care or Primary Care outpatient setting.
  • Complete the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
  • Be eligible for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.
  • Hold an active and unrestricted state medical license in at least one state and reside in an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact state.
  • Have experience and comfort providing care for all ages, from newborns to adults.
  • Function within an integrated medical practice.
  • Maintain broad clinical expertise.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with technology.
  • Not be under current exclusion or sanction by any state or federal healthcare program, including Medicare or Medicaid, and not be identified as an excluded person by the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services or the General Services Administration, or reprimanded or sanctioned by Medicare.
  • Maintain active Medicare status.
  • Meet the contractual scheduling requirements, including weekday evening, weekend, holiday, and annual-hour obligations.
Responsibilities
  • Perform age-appropriate histories and virtual examinations, evaluate and diagnose patients, recommend treatment plans, and document findings appropriately and promptly.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining safety.
  • Document patient medical information and review patient history at each visit.
  • Request consultation or referral with other healthcare providers when appropriate.
  • Counsel and educate patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Evaluate, triage, and manage pediatric and adult patients for acute care, including chronic disease management and mental health conditions.
  • Maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends.
  • Provide administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory test results.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hold multistate licensure.
  • Have telemedicine or virtual care experience with video-based visits.
  • Have experience with Athena EMR.
  • Have experience and interest in supervising nurse practitioners.
