Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
  • At least 2 years of construction engineering, scheduling, or design experience is required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of cost coding, cost savings, budget, and other project-related financial implications is required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of scheduling processes and industry best practices is required.
  • Intermediate interpersonal relationship skills are required to build positive relationships toward a common goal.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials, and required standards applicable to the project is required.
  • Ability to assume responsibility and interface and communicate effectively with others is required.
  • Construction engineering experience or knowledge is required.
Responsibilities
  • Meet daily with project crews to review the production schedule and confirm that all materials, equipment, and resources are available for production to continue on schedule and within budget.
  • Collect, coordinate, and analyze shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements, and project data throughout the project to ensure quality and contract specification compliance.
  • Provide technical input for the project work plan and schedule, identifying production, material, equipment, or process risks that could negatively impact the budget or schedule.
  • Evaluate daily production, schedule, and budget projections to track project performance accurately, and document daily activities using company-approved methods and technologies.
  • Submit accurate project quantity inputs and controls using assigned project cost coding, and manage cost coding with company finance and accounting teams for employee time, materials, equipment, and subcontractor needs.
  • Review and approve daily timecards for company construction crews, and work with the Office Manager, payroll, and job construction supervisors to resolve timecard inquiries as needed.
  • Review project specifications for quality assurance at the beginning, during, and after project work; initiate and manage certificates, inspections, and other documentation related to construction production on the project site.
  • Work with construction crews and engineering leaders to plan field layout, ensure utilities and commercial lines are marked before production begins, and initiate and manage required permits.
  • Conduct required Job Hazard Analyses to maintain a safe and compliant work environment for construction personnel, attend weekly safety meetings, and present field analysis as needed.
  • Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management is preferred.
