Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree with a science, engineering, or business major is preferred.
  • An advanced degree such as a master's in science, healthcare, business administration, or a PhD is preferred.
  • Five to seven years of experience in strategy consulting with a focus in life sciences is preferred.
  • Project and thought leadership within corporate strategy areas, including therapeutic area strategy, establishing leadership in a space, corporate strategy leading to long-term growth, and long-term value story articulation.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and bringing together various client teams.
  • A track record of managing simultaneous client projects and corresponding teams is required.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills reflecting significant experience in client-facing situations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • A highly analytical approach to solving complex problems.
  • Ability to work in the Boston, New York, or San Francisco office at least 40% of the time.
Responsibilities
  • Manage two to more than five projects of varying complexity simultaneously, depending on experience in the role.
  • Lead a broad range of corporate strategy project types and bring order and structure to unfamiliar project situations or content areas.
  • Apply strong project management practices, including raising issues to leadership early, designing impactful internal and external agendas, and avoiding project fire drills.
  • Elevate the quality, clarity, and simplicity of team output through early direction, hypothesis-based thinking, simplified storylines, impactful visuals, and concise writing.
  • Collaborate proactively with leadership through early thought partnership and by raising potential concerns regarding client or team experience and team performance.
  • Create positive experiences for project teams.
  • Drive high-impact client meetings independently by challenging client thinking, addressing difficult questions, and adding value beyond the team's work.
  • Develop and grow strong client relationships that result in account alignment and repeat client requests.
  • Contribute to firm growth through internal initiatives and coaching or mentorship.
