Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • The role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, push, transport patients via wheelchair, bed, or stretcher, and perform frequent stooping, bending, and reaching.
  • The role requires the ability to perceive attributes of objects through touch and to hear normal conversation and high/low frequencies.
  • The role requires general, near, far, color, and peripheral vision.
Responsibilities
  • Accurately collect and update patient demographic and insurance information and complete patient registration.
  • Enter patient data, orders, and charges into the Epic and Systoc electronic medical record systems to support clinical documentation and billing.
  • Assess patient acuity in waiting areas, escort patients to exam rooms, gather medical history, obtain vital signs, and prepare patients and rooms for visits.
  • Schedule patients for specialty care, workers' compensation follow-ups, and other clinical services.
  • Perform point-of-care testing according to protocol.
  • Clean, calibrate, and maintain equipment and exam rooms.
  • Collect specimens and perform Reasonable Suspicion Drug and Alcohol Testing, following chain-of-custody protocols for urine, saliva, hair, breath, and blood specimens.
  • Assist nursing staff and providers in delivering patient-centered care.
  • Maintain confidentiality and properly release information.
  • Comply with employee, patient, and environmental safety policies and reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrate performance improvement in clinical care, customer service, operational processes, and safety.
  • Use resources effectively and efficiently in daily procedures and processes.
  • Comply with attendance and dress-code policies.
  • Demonstrate competency in patient assessment, treatment range, growth and development, and age-appropriate communication.
  • Work weekend and shared holiday shifts and help cover vacations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
