Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • An Alaska driver's license is preferred.
  • Completion of the Mandatory Trainings listed in the Training Verification Checklist for Coaching and Activity Advisor Staff on or before the first contract day.
  • Understanding of and adherence to the North Slope Borough School District and activity-specific policies and guidelines.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between coaches and the administration.
  • Communicate with participants, parents, and administrators.
  • Set an example by maintaining a high code of conduct.
  • Review the Parent and Student Handbooks annually.
  • Make decisions with student welfare as the highest priority.
  • Supervise student store operations and student assistants.
  • Monitor and correct the behavior of student assistants and student and community purchasers.
  • Purchase and stock the student store and maintain inventories.
  • Prepare purchase orders and follow North Slope Borough School District purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding purchase orders.
  • Receive supplies and verify them against purchase orders.
  • Process invoices for payment.
  • Submit the Activity Report and attach photos, if any.
