About the job
- A high school diploma, equivalent qualification, or relevant experience is required.
- Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures is preferred.
- Ability to work independently is required.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Willingness and ability to work in a stressful environment are required.
- Prior hospital experience is preferred.
- Prior experience dealing with the public is preferred.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and assist with transporting patients as needed is required.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers is required.
- Provide patient information.
- Provide way-finding assistance.
- Provide facility information.
- Accompany patients and visitors to their destinations.
- Transport patients by wheelchair for discharge.
- Screen visitors and conduct contact tracing for all visitors to the facility.
