Requirements
  • Experience operating CNC mills or lathes independently.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, height gages, and indicators.
  • Experience reading basic blueprints.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable, and applicants must provide proof of U.S. work eligibility through E-Verify.
Responsibilities
  • Perform basic machining functions to produce parts.
  • Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Monitor machines to ensure proper program performance.
  • Complete shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
  • Make offsets and machine adjustments with moderate supervision.
  • Advocate for the health and safety of self, coworkers, customers, and the community.
Desired Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing.
  • At least one year of experience operating machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Machining trade school training.

Tecomet and Orchid merge to create global MedTech and aerospace manufacturing platform

Tecomet and Orchid Orthopedic Solutions have completed their merger, creating a global manufacturing platform serving MedTech and aerospace and defence customers. The combined company will operate under the Tecomet name, with Andreas Weller serving as CEO. The merged entity operates 24 manufacturing locations across multiple countries, offering capabilities including precision machining, additive manufacturing, forging, casting and advanced finishing. The combination aims to provide customers with more comprehensive manufacturing services, expanded design capabilities and a more resilient global supply base. Integration will be phased to minimise disruption whilst maintaining focus on safety, quality, regulatory compliance and on-time delivery.
