This is an opportunity to join as the leader of the Moderation Platform Team. You will be leading our effort to build a world class platform required for content and behavior moderation. This team owns the ingestion of all content created or reported on the Roblox Platform and ensures the right things happen to keep our users safe. With over 60M daily active users, the moderation platform operates at high scale, and will only increase as Roblox continues to introduce highly engaging content-based functionality.

As an Engineering Manager for the Moderation Platform Team, you will manage and grow a team of accomplished and well-rounded engineers. You will provide both technical and people leadership, promoting a culture that values high-quality code and team camaraderie. This is a unique opportunity to dive head first into strategic planning. A successful team requires a solid charter, great hires, and inspirational leadership. You will bring it all together. You will be reporting to a Senior Engineering Manager.

You Will:

• Oversee enormous projects that span multiple teams
• Develop a team Roadmap, charter, and vision
• Uphold high coding standards and establish new ones
• Work for your team, being a force multiplier by unblocking issues and bridging the gaps between organizations
• Mentor engineers to make sure your team expertise grows over time
• Collaborate with other engineering teams, product and design to develop new functionality, pipelines, and workflow
• Be guided by our vision to put the Roblox community first
• Produce excellent documentation for internal and external teams

You Have:

• 1+ years of experience as an engineering manager
• 8+ years of experience in large-scale software development with experience delivering performant solutions
• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Solid system design and programming skills
• Excellent long-term sense, both in technical systems and in consumer product design
• Evaluate risks, errors, and improvement in application development
• Collaboration skills across multiple teams and disciplines
• Experience with testing and development
• Programming experience in one compiled (Golang, C++, C#, Java) and one interpreted script language (JS, PHP, Python, and Lua)
• Experience in anti-fraud, anti-abuse, trust and safety, or risk
• Mathematical, statistical methods experience
