Requirements
  • A minimum of OSHA 30 certification is required.
  • Electrical field installation experience in a solar plant or heavy industrial environment is required.
  • Three years of supervisory experience in a power plant or heavy industrial construction is required.
  • Experience supervising 50 or more employees is required.
  • Planning and scheduling experience is required.
  • Knowledge of reading, interpreting, and working with electrical design drawings, including isometric and orthographic drawings, design guides, and specifications, is required.
  • Knowledge of contract documents and site coordination of subcontractors is required.
  • Four to five years of prior experience as a General Foreman, or three years as a Superintendent in a single discipline on an industrial construction project, is required.
  • Previous experience with man-hour reports, job-cost reports, and workforce planning is required.
  • The role requires frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
  • The employee must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds and may occasionally handle heavier loads with assistance.
  • The employee must be able to work around moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, loud noise levels, varying weather conditions, and extreme temperatures.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and supervise craft activities, including determining construction methods, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedules, manpower estimates, labor budgets, and documenting actual hours worked.
  • Coordinate electrical work with other crafts, company departments, and onsite contractors.
  • Maintain liaison with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Assist in resolving construction problems, including productivity issues and work interfaces.
  • Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements, document deficiencies, and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
  • Coordinate with Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, Engineering, and other departments to ensure materials, equipment, inspections, and other resources support craft activities and the project schedule.
  • Delegate responsibility and ensure proper completion.
  • Perform additional assignments and other duties as directed by the supervisor.
