Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read customer-provided documents.
  • Knowledge of setting up machines.
  • Ability to work well with people.
  • Management skills.
  • Ability to stand and use hands regularly; walk, sit, and talk or hear frequently; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.
  • Ability to frequently lift or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and occasionally around fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
  • Ability to work in a usually loud environment.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the immediate point of contact for the supervised team.
  • Monitor Performance to Standard monitors throughout the shift and engage employees regarding overages and mis-clockings.
  • Work with team members on immediate corrective actions regarding quality escapements, high-impact scrap, and rework.
  • Update area ANDON boards daily and speak to the boards at assigned times.
  • Monitor daily 6S shop cleanups at the end of the shift and ensure they are performed.
  • Work with employees and distributors to ensure supplies are ordered when needed.
  • Track and approve team members' paid time off requests.
  • Assist during performance reviews by providing input and employee performance feedback.
  • Coordinate and communicate all overtime requirements.
  • Coordinate potential cross-training activities.
  • Ensure team members clock time to work orders.
  • Work with the Program Management team on customer inquiries, part shortages, and constraints.
  • Promote transparency and problem solving within the team.
