  • You’ve managed and lead one or more teams and have shipped successful products
  • You’re comfortable managing and working with geographically distributed teams
  • You’ve worked with distributed systems, control plane and/or data routing
  • You’re passionate about developing systems and tools that enable building scalable, elastic systems that can grow to support increasing customer and engineering needs
  • You have experience managing operationally heavy teams and you’re willing to share the on-call responsibilities with them
  • You are skilled in cross-functional collaboration and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • You are a strategic thinker with a track record of translating complex technical concepts into actionable plans
  • You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
  • Own the vision and execution for Metrics Control Plane
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Software Engineers
  • Partner with other Metrics Platform teams to develop solutions that bridge across systems within the Metrics Platform
  • Be a technical leader of the team; You’ll be reviewing architecture decisions, RFCs, and pull requests and ensuring what the team ships is high quality
  • Share on-call responsibilities with the rest of the team to maintain the culture of operational excellence
  • Run and optimize team processes, ensuring the successful delivery of high quality work
