Requirements
  • An Associate’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and diverse backgrounds.
  • The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and related privacy regulations.
  • The ability to learn processes related to Admissions, Registration, Financial Aid, Advising, and Testing Services and maintain broad-based knowledge.
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills, including the ability to utilize and apply Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as specialized software programs and computer applications.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruitment and admissions events and initiatives, including high school visits, information sessions, and Admitted Student Days.
  • Coordinate the collection of enrollment-related documentation, including state, high school, and college transcripts, to ensure program compliance with college and statewide regulations.
  • Respond to student and community inquiries about the EOF Program and support the application process for prospective, new, and returning BCC students.
  • Explain program requirements, benefits, and available resources to students and their families, ensuring a clear understanding of EOF program objectives.
  • Collaborate with or assist the EOF Associate Director, EOF Advisors, Financial Aid officers, and other relevant departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of enrollment-related paperwork.
  • Maintain up-to-date electronic records of EOF applications and program enrollment status.
  • Support the Director and Associate Director in designing communication campaigns aligned with recruitment and enrollment goals.
  • Meet and greet office walk-ins, answer telephone calls, schedule appointments, resolve problems where possible, and refer matters where appropriate.
  • Act as an information resource for students, staff, or the public requiring knowledge of college and department enrollment management and student service operations.
  • Carry out functions and communications supporting the EOF program, services, and activities as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Use student outreach tactics, including phone and email, to foster student engagement.
  • Perform office and departmental support functions, including preparing routine letters, maintaining office equipment, and maintaining the front office’s physical space.
  • Serve as a point of referral to connect students to EOF Advisors, the Financial Aid Office, and other student services as appropriate.
