Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, or a related discipline is preferred, or a minimum of one year's experience in a Quality Control laboratory or equivalent setting.
  • Experience working in a current Good Manufacturing Practices-compliant facility.
  • One to two years of experience analyzing results, predicting trends, and updating methodology.
  • Strong computer skills, including Windows Office, Outlook, Syspro, and other inventory control databases.
  • Ability to accommodate last-minute schedule adjustments, including early starts at 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m., when requested.
  • Availability to begin work at 6:00 a.m. for planned vacation coverage or other pre-scheduled needs.
  • Availability for a rotating Saturday schedule based on operational demands.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods, work at a computer, and lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Responsibilities
  • Follow good document practices, good laboratory practices, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Perform testing according to established protocols for incoming ingredients, in-process samples, finished goods, stability samples, compressed air, environmental monitoring, cleaning validation and investigation swabbing, and new products under development by RDI.
  • Perform and document daily, weekly, and monthly onsite calibrations of in-house equipment.
  • Follow procedures for investigating deviations, non-conforming results, and out-of-specification results.
  • Review documents in ETQ related to Quality Control testing.
  • Sample and inspect incoming raw materials, packaging, and componentry for onsite and offsite warehouses.
  • Monitor process validation activities as scheduled or requested.
  • Ensure required process-validation data is collected accurately and completely.
  • Verify adherence to validation protocols.
  • Conduct ANSI sampling or 100% inspections to assist with deviations, containment activities, and high-risk production scenarios.
  • Follow all safety standards and protocols and recommend process improvements.
