What believers are saying

  • In October 2025, a16z led Alleviate's $4.3 million seed round.
  • Alleviate said it serves seven of America's fifteen largest site networks.
  • Its August 2026 site still shows active recruiting focus and 'Coming soon' research.

What critics are saying

  • Only $4.3 million is disclosed; rivals with deeper capital can outspend Alleviate.
  • Patient recruitment is crowded, with Antidote and SubjectWell targeting the same workflow.
  • If sites build in-house AI recruiters, Alleviate loses its core revenue path.

What makes Alleviate Health unique

  • Alleviate combines SMS, voice, and human-in-the-loop screening for clinical trials.
  • It integrates with CTMS and CRM, capturing patient preferences and medical data.
  • By August 2026, it reported 500,000 interactions across 190-plus sites.
