Job Overview:
The Infrastructure Group Manager is responsible for managing and guiding a team that ensures efficient and effective Citi infrastructure in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and identified policies to process data, resolve issues and execute administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
Develop strategies to meet business strategy goals and demonstrate in-depth understanding of how Technology Infrastructure integrates within the overall technology function to achieve objectives
Lead and motivate a team, conducting managerial responsibilities such as performance evaluation and management, employee selection, compensation, budget management and resource planning
Resolve issues that have impact beyond own area and apply in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas
Provide services by using insights from stakeholder/partner relationships, actively seeking information to understand issues, expectations and needs
Ensure essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards and recommend reengineering efforts for continuous improvement
Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations, drawing on diverse range of internal and external sources
Persuade and influence others through communication and diplomacy skills and negotiate with external parties as needed
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Demonstrated ability to take ownership of various parts of a project/initiative with tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectation/ requirements
To build a collaborative relationship with all business groups in support of their applications to meet the technology goals of providing a first-class service to our customers.
To establish focus groups to develop processes that meet the business requirements whilst also maintaining control of risks and adhering to Citi Information Security policies.
To ensure a strategy is developed in the use of standard processes and tools to deliver an effective and efficient service to our customers.
Engage and manage vendors ensuring clear communication channels to the global teams ensuring ‘no surprises’ on either side.
Identify areas for improvement and initiate steps to improve on these areas through automation.
Responsible for financial planning and budgeting.
Manage staffing requirements to meet the organization’s long term performance objectives.
To ensure resources are correctly aligned with project and business priorities.
Ensure that the team’s procedures and processes are in accordance with ISO standards, and that the ISO documentation is kept current.
To manage and maintain the relationships with the business customers; to understand their requirements, drivers and any concerns they may have.
To understand the compliance and control policies related to the team functions and to ensure they are properly managed and maintained.
To contribute to formulation of strategies for technology infrastructure and other functional areas.
To evaluate and recommend the selection of applications and systems or emerging products and technologies.
To manage the team and ensure standards, skills and development is maintained.
Knowledge/Experience:
The candidate must have:
Proven experience within a large computing organization with a knowledge of a number of the products.
Extensive, global people management experience within a technical discipline.
Experience of risk management & project management are essential.
Expert knowledge in at least one enterprise scale batch automation and scheduling platform (IWS, TWS, Autosys, Control M)
Skills:
Able to demonstrate a wide range of skills with a number of technical areas including Mainframe, Distributed architecture and batch scheduling.
Excellent management skills including presentation, problem solving, people development, reporting and customer focus.
Strong written and oral skills in English. Business level English language skills.
Assertive but diplomatic, tenacious, with a strong desire to see things through to completion and remain focused.
Ability to work in a high volume, pressurized, financial organization.
Management level experience supporting batch scheduling tools such as: Autosys, IWS/TWS, Control M, Stonebranch, Opcon or Netbatch
Experience building risk and controls structures in a large, highly regulated enterprise
Qualifications:
10+ years of enterprise operations support experience is required
5+ year of professional experience in a global/multi-national organization is helpful
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
