Requirements
  • Current New Hampshire American Registry of Radiologic Technologists license is required.
  • Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy licensure is required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
  • Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements, and regulations is required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiology, including X-ray and fluoroscopy, exams and procedures on patients.
  • Maintain the production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures.
  • Implement clinical protocols and policies.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and team members.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, families, staff, and physicians.
  • Instruct patients in preparation for tests.
  • Review requisitions for pertinent information, special requests, and the correct ordered procedure, and review physician orders for procedures and tests.
  • Assist front reception with patient information as needed.
  • Complete patient documentation and all required processes to ensure that there are no late charges.
  • Maintain medical supplies in all rooms and required stock items, and prepare and clean rooms.
  • Maintain and prepare all equipment and instruments in exam rooms.
  • Participate in coverage for the 24-hour, seven-day Radiology operation, including holidays, nights, weekends, and call.
Desired Qualifications
  • Completion of formal Radiologic Technologist training from an AMA-approved school.
  • A 24-month clinical internship.
