About the job

Requirements
  • Experience in implementation, forward-deployed, solutions, or customer-facing engineering, ideally at a developer, API, or AI-infrastructure product.
  • Ability to read code, use an API, and build a real integration.
  • Experience taking customers from a signed agreement to a live production deployment, with the ability to explain the technical work involved.
  • Ability to distinguish user error, bugs, and genuine product gaps before building a solution.
  • Ability to communicate technical details and business value to both technical and business audiences.
Responsibilities
  • Own customer onboarding end to end by working in the customer's environment, scoping the integration, and getting it into production.
  • Work hands-on with the product and real customer data, build integrations, and resolve issues blocking go-live.
  • Conduct technical discovery to diagnose failures in customer extraction or pipelines and determine whether the cause is usage, a bug, or a product gap.
  • Turn successful launches into adoption and expansion, and partner with the Deployment team to meet team targets.
  • Serve as the trusted technical voice during rollout and share field insights with product and engineering.
  • Determine when to solve a problem directly and when to involve engineering.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience at a developer, API, or AI-infrastructure product is ideal.
  • Implementation or onboarding engineering experience at an API or developer-tools company is a background that often succeeds.
  • Solutions engineering experience owning the lifecycle from signed deal to production is a background that often succeeds.
  • Technical account management experience involving hands-on building is a background that often succeeds.
  • Founder experience selling and delivering a product is a background that often succeeds.

About the company

Firecrawl provides a context API for AI agents to search, crawl, scrape, and retrieve clean content from the live web and structured indexes at scale. Its platform handles crawling, rendering, parsing, and cleanup so teams don’t need to build their own extraction pipelines. The Alexandria layer unifies official data providers, custom connectors, and Firecrawl indexes with the live web, enabling agents to discover sources and pull knowledge, including paid access like Wikimedia Enterprise. The service supports scale to millions of users and funds deeper indexes, search capabilities, and knowledge-contributor payouts.

Firecrawl raises $75M to build Alexandria, a global knowledge library for AI agents

US-based AI startup Firecrawl has raised $75 million in a Series B round led by Smash Capital. The round included participation from Altos, Nexus, Y Combinator, Freestyle, and Offline Ventures. Founded in 2024 by Brazilian Nicolas Silberstein Camara alongside Caleb Peffer and Eric Ciarla, Firecrawl develops open-source solutions for data extraction and processing. The company serves over 1.5 million developers and 150,000 companies globally, including Shopify, Apple, and Canva. The funding will accelerate expansion and develop Alexandria, a platform designed to aggregate knowledge from diverse sources for AI models and agents. Alexandria will compile scientific research, code repositories, government documents, and real-time data across multiple sectors including finance, e-commerce, and employment. The platform aims to provide compatible access via API, Model Context Protocol, or command-line interface across both open and proprietary AI models. This follows an earlier $15 million Series A round.
