Requirements
- At least 5 years of solar, electrical, or construction field experience, including at least 2 years leading crews.
- Working knowledge of photovoltaic systems, storage, and the National Electrical Code as applied to solar and battery systems, with the ability to work from plan sets and one-lines.
- OSHA 10 certification is required.
- A valid driver's license, clean driving record, ability to lift at least 50 pounds, and ability to work on rooftops and ladders are required.
- Familiarity with FieldPulse or Buildertrend.
- Ability to work in office, warehouse, rooftop, and active construction environments, with daily travel to job sites and occasional overnight travel.
Responsibilities
- Own daily field execution across Commercial, Residential, and Service, ensuring crews are prepared, safe, productive, perform quality work, and are held accountable.
- Conduct jobsite walkthroughs, ensure OSHA compliance, and correct unsafe conditions immediately.
- Confirm that correct materials, tools, and plan sets are staged before each job and before crews leave the yard.
- Verify scope completion and quality workmanship before crews leave jobs, and reduce rerolls.
- Maintain daily logs and job documentation across all three business verticals, including on-site supervision of larger commercial projects.
- Supervise labor hours and materials against job budgets and eliminate administrative time.
- Coach and hold technicians to company standards, and own time tracking and clock-in and clock-out compliance.
- Oversee scheduling with project management and dispatch, and rebalance crews in real time for skills, weather, call-ins, inspections, and change orders.
- Coordinate general contractors, subcontractors, owner representatives, and inspectors, and hold subcontractor work to company standards.
- Keep photos, marketing materials, reports, and quality-control records current on all active jobs, and conduct vehicle and trailer inspections.
- Communicate delays and risks to project management, support weekly safety meetings, and uphold the company’s culture of safety and humility.
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician certification is a plus.
- NABCEP certification is a plus.
- Bilingual English and Spanish ability is a plus.
