Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of work experience with knowledge of the medical field is required.
  • The ability to communicate orally and in writing with patients, doctors, and staff is required.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records and processes is required.
  • Experience with computers and electronic medical record documentation systems is required.
  • Experience assisting with patient needs is required.
  • Basic Life Support or Advanced Life Support certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Take and record patient vital signs and required additional information, verifying the correct patient, chart, and physician using two identifiers such as name and date of birth.
  • Manage patient flow from the front desk to the examination room.
  • Ensure the disinfection and cleanliness of all clinic areas, triage equipment, examination rooms, and waiting rooms.
  • Clean and disinfect entry doors.
  • Supply examination rooms, maintain inventory, and order necessary supplies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Physician office experience is preferred.
