SAP BASIS System Administrator
About the job
- At least 6 years of experience with SAP core systems.
- End-to-end understanding of the SAP landscape.
- Experience in multiple SAP BASIS, SAP application, SAP infrastructure, database, and operating-system areas.
- Hands-on advanced technical knowledge of SAP NetWeaver Suite using J2EE.
- Hands-on advanced technical knowledge of SAP Business Objects Data Services.
- Hands-on technical knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Linux or Oracle Enterprise Linux.
- Hands-on technical knowledge of clustered Oracle 11g RAC databases.
- Strong knowledge of Solution Manager integration and monitoring setup.
- Strong technical knowledge of interfacing technologies such as Remote Function Call and web services.
- Good documentation skills.
- Install and upgrade SAP applications, including ECC, SRM, CRM, APO, PI, BW, Portal, and enhancement packages.
- Provide day-to-day production support and application management.
- Tune and troubleshoot issues across SAP applications.
- Manage multiple applications.
- Execute system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Manage SAP infrastructure security and network communications.
- Maintain and execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Design and document SAP procedures.
- Provide architectural designs for new SAP landscapes and improvements to existing landscapes.
- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot complex Linux and Oracle environments, including clustering, high availability, and load balancing.
- Ensure proper configuration and security across server environments.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring and maintenance to ensure stability and optimal performance across server environments.
- Keep management informed about outstanding issues.
- Experience with HANA, BW, BOBJ, or BODS.
