Responsibilities
  • Understand, research, and resolve internal and external application and systems issues
  • Create, test, and verify installation/upgrade instructions for product releases
  • Participate in product design, testing, and documentation reviews
  • Provide off-hours customer support via pager and cellular telephone
  • Attend classes for designated product line and external software
  • Provide training to customers and customer engineers
  • Assist in analysis of customer OS performance and database management issues
  • Deliver updates and reports to managers and peers
  • Assist in training junior engineers in departmental procedures
  • Troubleshoot software problems and interface with engineering teams
  • Perform customer-specific software testing and analysis
  • Support control system upgrades and qualification for computer obsolescence
  • Setup, image, and support test stand computers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system/software issues and field escalations
  • Develop and publish training material for engineering community
