Requirements
- Architecture degree from an accredited United States architectural program.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM 360.
- Licensed as an architect in the state of Illinois.
- Familiarity with code requirements for spaces in industrial settings.
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Provide architectural design and construction document preparation and comprehensive construction administration for industrial projects, with 3 to 20 years of experience in a professional architecture/engineering firm.
- Recommend best-value designs that meet client requirements for intended use, operability, reliability, maintainability, and safety in an industrial setting.
- Provide conceptual design planning to help clients understand the implications of proposed plant renovations using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Generate design documentation, construction documents, and renderings using Revit and other 3D software.
- Develop designs and produce drawings and specifications defining the architectural scope of projects.
- Work with all design team disciplines, including outside consultants, to achieve fully coordinated projects.
- Perform specialized investigations, including existing-conditions verification, and participate in comparisons of building-system alternatives.
- Apply architectural theories, concepts, principles, and processes to provide solutions to complex design projects.
- Assist in the technical evaluation of construction bids received from contractors.
- Participate in business development activities and provide support and input for client proposals, statements of qualifications, and presentations.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with building design in market types other than industrial.
- NCARB Certification.
- LEED AP Accreditation.
