About the company

Red Bull makes and markets energy drinks. It focuses on a signature global beverage and uses a distinct marketing strategy to build the brand. How it works: the drink combines ingredients such as caffeine and sugars (originally based on Krating Daeng) and is carbonated for Western palates, distributed worldwide through large-scale marketing, sponsorships, and events to boost sales. How it differs: it remains privately held by the founding families, avoiding public funding, and relies on a marketing-heavy approach—extreme-sports sponsorships, high-profile events, and a strong brand identity—rather than conventional product features alone. What it aims to do: maintain leadership in the energy-drink category, grow globally through branding and partnerships, and continue expanding its product line and presence without going public.

Red Bull driver takes an F1 car out for 'fastest commute ever' as it zooms across underground train tracks. Last updated on Nov 01, 2026 at 11:15 AM (UTC-5) Edited by Daisy Edwards See Supercar Blondie first in Google Add Supercar Blondie in one tap and get its stories before anyone else In their latest stunt, Red Bull turned an F1 car into an underground train in Madrid, Spain. It's incredible to see the extent to which Red Bull will go to put on a show. What's crazy is that what you can see here is a video that lasts second. And yet it took months of preparations. Why Red Bull turned a Formula 1 car into a metro train. Some people say Red Bull is a marketing company that just so happens to sell energy drinks - which is a fair characterization. On this occasion, they stripped the racing rubber off an iconic F1 chassis, installed specialized steel railway wheels, and literally turned a Grand Prix machine into a metro train. The stunt, which took place in Madrid, Spain, centered around the RB8 - the V8-powered single-seater that swept the 2012 Formula 1 World Championship with Sebastian Vettel. Ahead of the return of Formula 1 to Madrid, Red Bull wanted to do something special, and they decided to turn an F1 car into a metro train. Because why not. Running a low-slung, ultra-stiff F1 machine across heavy rail tracks presented massive mechanical hurdles. And two things in particular required some extra care. This is how Red Bull did it. There were two major problems. First, the team had to create specialized 'wheels' with special spokes engineered to shed mass while sitting seamlessly inside the railway gauge. The second problem was calibrating the chassis. Standard slick tires were removed entirely, but that meant replacing the rubber interface with flanged metal rims capable of gripping the steel rails. And that had to be done while keeping the car 'drivable'. The man behind the wheel is a former F1 driver. The RB8 navigated the subterranean tunnels, depot switches, and station platforms of the Madrid's rail system with former Formula 1 driver Patrick Friesacher at the helm. Friesacher originally joined Red Bull in 1994 as their very first Junior Team driver. However, he was dropped a decade later in 2004 after declining their offer to move to Formula Nippon, preferring instead to hold out for an F1 seat. His stubbornness paid off. Just a year later, in 2005, he signed with Minardi and competed in 11 Grand Prix races, scoring three championship points during the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis. Shortly after his stint with Minardi, Friesacher rejoined Red Bull as their primary demonstration driver. Today, he holds the title of Red Bull's longest-serving driver. As far as job titles go, that's not a bad one to have. Some of Red Bull's craziest stunts over the years. 2008 - Vegas Arch Leap: FMX rider Robbie Maddison jumped his motorcycle 96 feet up onto the Arc de Triomphe replica in Las Vegas, then dropped straight off the edge back to the ground 2012 - Stratos: Felix Baumgartner skydived from the edge of space - 128,000 ft - becoming the first person to break the sound barrier (843mph) in freefall 2013 - Burj Al Arab Helipad: David Coulthard spun high-RPM donuts in an F1 car on a helipad suspended 690 feet in the air above Dubai 2016 - F1 Ski Slope Run: Max Verstappen drove a V8 F1 car equipped with studded snow chains down a snowy ski mountain in Kitzbühel, Austria 2019 - Zero-Gravity Pit Stop: The pit crew boarded a cosmonaut training aircraft and performed a full 4-wheel F1 pit stop in mid-air during zero-gravity weightlessness

Honda reveals major 2027 F1 recovery plan amid leadership changes.

Honda reveals major 2027 F1 recovery plan amid leadership changes. Honda insists its major leadership change is not a reaction to the manufacturer's difficult 2026 Formula 1 season. Honda denies leadership shake-up was triggered by F1 struggles. Koji Watanabe is stepping down as HRC president from January 1, with Keiichi Yasuda taking over, amid a wider reshuffle that has also affected Honda's F1 power unit operation. But Watanabe told as-web.jp that the decision was made long before Honda's troubled return with Aston Martin. "I had already received informal notification of this change from last fall to the end of last year," he insisted. "In other words, it was while we were still partnered with Red Bull. So, considering the timing, I am not resigning to take responsibility for this year's poor performance." Watanabe said Honda had originally considered making the change when its Red Bull partnership ended, but instead wanted him to remain through the difficult first season with Aston Martin. Honda plans major engine upgrades for 2027 F1 season. Meanwhile, Honda is already laying out a more aggressive 2027 development programme. Trackside chief Shintaro Orihara told Spanish newspaper AS that a substantial upgrade is planned for the opening race, followed by another major step around race eight under the FIA's ADUO mechanism. "We need to take a step to close the gap with the frontrunners," said the Japanese. "Our goal is to bring an upgrade for the first race. But in that first race, we won't yet be at the top." "So, as Adrian Newey says, our aim is to bring another major upgrade in the middle of the season. Let's say around the eighth race." Honda identifies combustion engine as biggest weakness. Orihara also identified the combustion engine as Honda's main weakness. "Our weak point is combustion, and we are working hard to improve it," he said. "Especially in next year's engine, because engine performance will be more important compared to this year, so it's a key point." OFFICIAL: Young Red Bull-BORA Hansgrohe climber and former national champion leaves team for Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber. Tuesday, 27 October 2026 at 14:30 Red Bull - BORA Hansgrohe climber Alexander Hajek will leave the team at the end of the season, joining ProTeam Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber after a cahllenging 2026 season that saw him struggle to reach the heights of his previous season. Joining the German team at just 20-years-old, the Austrian was crowned national champion in 2024 and showed great promise as he finished seventh overall at the Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye, tenth at the Coppa Sabatini and fourteenth at the Tour of Guangxi that year. However, after taking fourth place overall at the Tour de Hongrie, eighth at the Czech Tour and tenth at the CRO Race in 2025, his 2026 season was less successful as he finds himself leaving the team at 23-years-old. "He's not the only one that can come close... the guy next to me" - Tadej Pogacar warns of Del Toro A strong climber, Hajek hopes to re-ignite his 2024 momentum at the Italian ProTeam: "Joining Bardiani means a lot to me. After a challenging 2026 season, I am grateful to the team for believing in me and giving me this opportunity," Hajek said in the announcement. Hajek leaves Red Bull after three seasons Hajek excited for new challenge. "I am excited to start this new chapter and take on the challenges that lie ahead. It is also a great honour to join a professional team with such a unique history in cycling. I am proud to become part of this tradition and to represent the team at the highest level." Hajek hopes to add victories to his locker as he looks to bounce back with his new team: "As a rider, I would describe myself as a climber who also has a good punch on short, steep climbs. I am particularly looking forward to seeing what I can achieve in stage races, where I have been able to compete at the front in recent years. Read also. "My goals for the upcoming season are to continue developing as a rider, become more competitive in bigger races, achieve strong results and, hopefully, take some victories along the way. Most importantly, I want to keep learning, improving and contributing to the team's success." Hajek rode several WorldTour races with Red Bull during his three year stint, but is yet to make his Grand Tour debut. However, he will not do so with Bardiani next season after the team finished outside the top 30 in the UCI ranking - making them ineligible for a wildcard selection at all three Grand Tours. Why wind tunnels shape the grid more than the cost cap.

Why wind tunnels shape the grid more than the cost cap. Recent debate over spending restrictions overlooks how aerodynamic testing allocation dictates performance gaps across the grid. Cadillac driver Sergio Perez called the Formula 1 cost cap unfair for smaller teams. Speaking ahead of an upcoming F1 Commission vote on a proposal by Williams boss James Vowles to introduce a sliding scale for financial limits, Perez pointed to structural disadvantages that financial equalisation fails to fix. As reported by RacingNews365, the proposal seeks to adjust spending limits based on team size and infrastructure. Recent commentary reported by RaceFans similarly indicates that financial restrictions are not responsible for restricting the number of race-winning constructors. Equalising financial expenditure does not equalise performance on track when mechanical and aerodynamic efficiency decide raw lap time. The cap debate ignores the real bottleneck. Equal financial limits set a ceiling on expenditure without addressing how development efficiency is distributed across the grid. Under current financial regulations, every team operates under equal financial boundaries, yet the competitive spread between constructors remains wide. Mercedes leads the Constructors' Championship with 578 points after 17 rounds, holding a 134-point advantage over Ferrari on 444 points. Andrea Kimi Antonelli leads the Drivers' Championship with 340 points and eight wins for Mercedes, while George Russell sits second on 238 points, 102 points behind his teammate. Equal spending limits ensure that wealthy and smaller outfits spend similar sums on manufacturing parts, but spending capacity alone does not design a faster floor or a balanced rear wing. How aerodynamic testing rules dictate progress. Aerodynamic testing restrictions, which limit wind tunnel running time and computational fluid dynamics simulations based on championship position, exert direct control over car development. A wind tunnel is a specialized physical facility where air is blown over a scale car model to measure downforce and drag, while computational fluid dynamics is a computer simulation tool used to model fluid airflow across car surfaces. Teams lower in the standings receive more testing time, while championship leaders receive less. This mechanism was intended to close performance gaps between teams over time. However, teams that start a technical regulation cycle with an inherently efficient aerodynamic concept extract far more value from every hour of testing. A team with an efficient aerodynamic baseline uses its limited allocation to refine small flow structures, while a struggling team uses its expanded allocation to correct fundamental design flaws. Why in-season upgrades distort the standings. In-season development cycles demonstrate how targeted aerodynamic updates redefine performance faster than financial adjustments. Red Bull faced a potential winless season in 2026 before introducing a Baku-specification update to the RB22 chassis. According to RacingNews365, that floor and bodywork package transformed Red Bull's competitive baseline, lifting Max Verstappen to 221 points and fourth in the championship with six rounds remaining. At the 2025 United States Grand Prix, Max Verstappen won from pole position, demonstrating the importance of continuous aerodynamic iteration at Circuit of the Americas. Readers looking for a complete historical record can review Max Verstappen at the United States Grand Prix. By contrast, engine and power unit updates offer far narrower performance gains when aerodynamic development fails to match them. RacingNews365 reported that Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll offered a blunt assessment of Honda's second ADUO engine upgrade introduced at the Madrid circuit in Spain. For a deeper breakdown of his past outings at COTA, consult Lance Stroll at the United States Grand Prix. Without underlying aerodynamic stability, straight-line power gains cannot make up time lost in high-speed cornering sequences. The practical outcome for the grid. With six rounds remaining in the 2026 season and up to 204 points available across standard and sprint race formats, the championship balance reflects development efficiency rather than spending limits alone. Lewis Hamilton sits third in the standings on 229 points for Ferrari, 111 points behind Antonelli, while Charles Leclerc occupies fifth place on 215 points. Behind Mercedes, the points distribution between Ferrari, Red Bull, and the midfield is driven by who maximizes aerodynamic testing windows during production cycles. Adjusting spending caps through a sliding scale alters financial bookkeeping without changing the physics of airflow development. Formula 1 performance gaps exist because aerodynamic testing limits regulate how rapidly a team can iterate a chassis concept. Until testing allocations alter how teams develop their aerodynamic baselines, wind tunnel efficiency will remain the primary factor separating championship leaders from the rest of the field.
