Cruise is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our People Technology team supporting Workday (Recruiting, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, Talent Management).
Cruise has an immediate need for a Workday Prism Developer to join our People Technology; an expert in developing complex Workday Prism Pipelines, handling high data volumes, and developing best-in-class visualizations leveraging Workday Prism Analytics.
The Workday Prism Developer will be responsible for the Workday Prism platform; the architecture and hands-on development of new solutions, providing consultation with business functions on capabilities, approaches, and designs for usage. The person in this role will be responsible for providing Workday subject matter expertise across the Workday analytics / reporting platform including Score carding, Prism, Dashboards, Metrics, data integration and report development techniques. Lastly, this individual will drive a common, standard approach to reporting and analytics and offer consulting to ensure that standards are communicated well and easily adopted.
What you must have:
- 5+ years of experience with Workday Prism development
- 5+ year of hands-on experience with delivering Workday Analytics
- 5+ years in People data analytics
- Proficient in writing SQL queries
- Think analytically and can effectively apply logic to solve problems
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to collect, organize and analyze reporting requirements and visualize the requirements using Workday Prism Analytics platform or similar analytics platform is required
- Ability to present data into actionable items for various audiences, including but not limited to, functional end-users and executive stakeholders
- Understand complex analytics use cases and be able to help customers to identify the issues they have and provide workarounds while communicating with internal teams to quickly resolve underlying issues
- Experience with Workday security framework, developing advanced reports and analytics, supporting report writing to be used in integration development
- Experience with automation and integration of Prism Analytics
- Experience with setting foundational practices with spearheading development of policies and procedures related to Workday reporting framework
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop Prism data sources
- Responsible for collaborating with business partners to identify, define, and clarify technical requirements; translating business needs into efficient reports and configurations that conform to best practices
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns for large data sets.
- Define recommended and/or best practices regarding the movement, manipulation, and storage of data in a Workday Prism solution including data ingestion, data storage options, query techniques, data variety, volume & velocity
- Build and maintain standardized real-time dashboards displaying metrics and insights for HR and business leaders in a visually appealing manner
- Support the development and implementation of standard reporting development life cycle processes, that accounts for rationalization, design, build, validation, and delivery or Workday and Prism reports, dashboards, scorecards, worksheets and discovery boards that meet the needs of key stakeholders
- Manage multiple datasets and automatic schedules for refreshing data in Workday Prism
- Apply role-based and contextual security in Workday Prism by utilizing the Workday security framework
- Communicate complex information so that it is easy to understand and influences others to take action based on the useful information provided
- Use existing systems/applications (Workday, 3rd party add-on applications, etc.) and define methods to integrate data from multiple systems to produce reports
- Develop reporting and analytics standards and policies
- Develop and manage quarterly custom report audit strategy
Bonus Points:
- Hands-on experience in Workforce Management systems
- Experience in implementation of system integrations including requirements gathering, setting up integrations and testing. Build Studio, Core Connector Benefits, Core connector Worker integrations, BIRT Reports. Gather business requirements and translate into technical requirements for integration developers and perform system testing
- Experience leading vendor relationships and assisting with the software selection process
- Experience with tools and applications to help automate processes such as Workday Extend
