About the job
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university with a current Registered Nurse/RN license by the State Board of Nursing.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in nursing supervision in a long-term care setting.
- Must have knowledge of the MDS process, state nurse practice acts, and state and federal regulations.
- On-call availability is required.
- Support the Director of Nursing with the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient, family, and employee satisfaction.
- Serve as a clinical operational liaison between the nursing units and the Director of Nursing.
- Be responsible for the quality of clinical operations in the nursing units, including compliance with company policies and procedures, practice standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop, allocate, and control the nursing department budget.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement and mentor staff to achieve top-of-license practice.
- Assist with nurse staffing, including performance evaluations, interviews, and orientation of nurses.
