Requirements
  • A minimum of six months of experience in a production capacity or related role in a manufacturing environment.
  • A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height intermittently and lift or carry up to 70 pounds.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to make simple mathematical calculations and measurements.
  • Ability to read and speak basic English.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate a hand jack and strength to pull more than 30 pounds.
  • Understanding of basic principles of the Safe Quality Food program and other food safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use basic tools and make simple mechanical adjustments.
  • Ability to work in hot, humid, noisy, and changing climate conditions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum instructions.
  • Ability to maintain records, communicate, and correct out-of-control conditions.
  • Ability to read and understand basic flow charts.
  • Ability to wear all required protective equipment and follow food and human safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to comply with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the correct number of cartons is placed on each skid in the correct configuration.
  • Provide the packaging line with the quantities of secondary packaging materials needed to sustain continual operations.
  • Complete assigned documentation accurately and on time.
  • Verify and validate the accuracy and legibility of all case-code dates throughout the assigned shift.
  • Follow Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points and food safety principles, and verify compliance with all critical control points and preventive quality checkpoints.
  • Report food safety and quality issues and initiate action as necessary.
  • Follow food safety guidelines, including Good Manufacturing Practices, the allergen program, quality, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, sanitation, and safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices procedures.
  • Wear all required protective equipment.
  • Obey all food and human safety rules and regulations.
  • Comply with all company policies and regulations.
