TSC’s Innovation & Product Cell (IPC) is currently seeking a Senior RF/Electronic Engineer in Huntsville, AL or the Aurora, CO area. with an educational and/or industry focus in the analysis and design of RF/microwave and analog/mixed-signal circuits and systems for RF sensors in precision weapons or electronic warfare domains.
Responsibilities:
This position involves conceiving, design, implementing, and testing RF solutions for new products. An individual in this position supports a multiple disciplinary team to develop RF solutions across the spectrum into challenging integration environments to include airborne, maritime, and terrestrial domains. The individual in this position supports the product lifecycle across multiple product lines.
- RF, analog, and mixed signal circuit analysis, design, and testing.
- Perform design studies and analysis of alternatives.
- Collect and analyze RF performance data to validate expected versus measured data.
- Support all phases of detailed system and subsystem development activities, including upfront analysis, prototyping, end item development and evaluation in laboratory and field test environments.
- Test and debug designs using common lab equipment to include vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
- Work within a multi-discipline team of systems, hardware, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to build complete solutions and products.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team locally and across physical locations.
Required Qualifications:
- BS and minimum 5 years of experience in industry
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance
- Experience with the following areas is required:
- RF/Microwave circuit design & test
- Analog/mixed signal design & test
- Modeling, collection, and analysis with scripting language tools (i.e., MATLAB, Python, MathCAD, etc.)
- Strong understanding of RF engineering principles including VSWR, Gain, Linearity, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS Degree & a minimum of 3 to 5 years industry experience,
- Experience with Cadence OrCAD or similar schematic design software
- Experience with AnSoft/Ansys HFSS, AWR Microwave office, or similar simulation tools
- Experience with radar, SIGINT, and/or electronic warfare product development
- Experience with antenna measurement instruments and systems including Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Near Field and Far Field chambers, etc.
- Experience designing to and mitigating EMI/EMC requirements (i.e., MIL-STD-461 & 464)
- Possess excellent organizational and communications skills.
- Able to prioritize work and maximize productivity.
