Hold a Red Seal Refrigeration Mechanic certification.
Have strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Be able to read wiring diagrams and work with electrical and air-conditioning systems.
Hold a valid driver's license and have a clean driving abstract.
Be willing to work overtime or travel when needed.
Have strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems and components.
Braze piping and install refrigeration parts precisely.
Read wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and compressor documentation.
Perform quality-control checks before units move to testing.
Support testing, start-up, and commissioning of ICE equipment.
Participate in equipment design, research and development, and continuous-improvement projects.
Assist with equipment installation and field start-up when required.
Troubleshoot issues early to prevent breakdowns.
Provide technical training and guidance to team members when needed.
Take on project leadership responsibilities and support other trades.
Travel occasionally for testing, installation, commissioning, or warranty work.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with HVAC or refrigeration testing, design, or installation is an asset.
Electrical or automation experience is an asset.
