Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
  • A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the State of Texas or in possession of an active license from another state that enjoys reciprocity with the state of Texas.
  • Passed the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE).
Responsibilities
  • Pharmaceutical verification of prescription orders of legend, over the counter, medical-surgical, and controlled substances to patients requiring care.
  • Provide patient consultation, quality improvement, and supply control duties.
  • Direct the delivery of pharmacy services, efficient and effective drug distribution, and education to improve patient quality of life, minimize therapeutic risk, and enhance clinical outcomes.
  • Leadership attributes in Pharmacy management to ensure the delivery and attainment of patient care quality metrics, evaluate the performance of Pharmacy Technicians duties, and drive client satisfaction outcomes.
  • Oversee CMOP facility by developing and implementing operational procedures, maintain accurate records and document actions taken while safeguarding the confidentiality of medical records.
  • Supervise Pharmacy Technicians in the performance of work-related to sterile products, prescription filling, and ward/clinic supply.
