- A minimum qualification in electrical, electrical installation or electrical bias at level 3.
- Proven experience as a maintenance engineer/ field service engineer/ installation engineer, within a logistics, automation, manufacturing, production or sortation environment.
- Good knowledge of PLC controls (Siemens or Allen Bradley).
- Strength in operating autonomously to effectively fault find through root cause analysis and implement quick preventive solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good PC skills (Microsoft office/ BMS/ maintenance engineering software)
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Quickly diagnose problems with the equipment and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime. This may involve using root cause analysis techniques to identify the underlying issues.
- Updating maintenance records: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks, in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Performing preventive maintenance: Ensuring all preventative maintenance checks are carried out On Time In Full (OTIF).
- Managing contractors on site (direct & 3rd party).
- Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in the operation and maintenance of the sorters and conveyors, implementing changes as necessary to enhance performance and reliability.
- A mechanical engineering background with an appetite to learn and develop electrical maintenance skills.
