Requirements
  • A minimum high school diploma and/or Associate degree or equivalent is required.
  • Requires 0–1 years of experience in electronics and/or medical device manufacturing, preferably in a cleanroom setting working with small parts.
  • Must have thorough attention to detail and be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision and handle stressful situations.
  • Must have computer proficiency with two years of experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Must have knowledge of FDA and ISO requirements for medical devices.
  • Must be able to work extended periods under a microscope, maintain focus during repetitive precision tasks, follow detailed procedures without deviation, work in full cleanroom gowning attire, and lift up to 50 pounds when moving materials or equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Build acute and chronic microelectrode array implant assemblies in a controlled cleanroom environment.
  • Perform detailed assembly under a microscope while handling very small components.
  • Complete wire bonding, micro-soldering, adhesive application, and precise component placement.
  • Follow step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and engineering drawings.
  • Inspect work during the build process and perform basic functional checks to ensure quality.
  • Accurately document production work in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice and International Organization for Standardization and Food and Drug Administration requirements.
  • Identify defects or process issues and escalate them or support basic troubleshooting.
  • Follow cleanroom protocols, including gowning and contamination control.
  • Support material preparation, inventory handling, and production setup.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams to support ongoing improvements.
