Requirements
  • Seven years of experience in project management, construction management, or related fields.
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • Directly related education and project management experience with increasing leadership or management responsibility in construction and/or planning.
  • Working knowledge of conventional aspects of the field and other related disciplines and processes.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of small- to mid-sized university construction projects, including creating and implementing project plans and procedures.
  • Develop project reports that keep relevant parties informed about project schedule and cost status.
  • Collaborate with design and construction professionals across disciplines to integrate all aspects of construction processes.
  • Monitor and control schedules throughout the project delivery cycle to meet clients' time expectations.
  • Collaborate with clients and city officials to facilitate timely and effective participation in the project.
  • Oversee project team members, consultants, and contractors allocated to the project.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules in line with available funds and work scope to deliver agreed programmatic requirements.
  • Create project objectives, work scope, project execution plans, and construction management plans and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • A degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Project administration experience with progressive leadership or management within a college or university environment.
