Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 1 year of prior guest service experience is required, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
  • The ability to pay attention to detail, remain customer focused, and perform duties in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • The ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds occasionally is required.
Responsibilities
  • Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner while providing a high level of service.
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs, verify billing, create reservations, and process special requests.
  • Assist guests with knowledge of the hotel property, local attractions, and operating hours for hotel outlets and services.
  • Contribute to team efforts and assist other departments when necessary.
  • Follow the guest service recovery program.
  • Use proper selling techniques, follow room-availability restrictions and booking policies, and up-sell rooms and amenities to maximize room revenue.
  • Handle cash and process financial transactions according to company procedures.
  • Use equipment properly and follow cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize work duties to produce the required volume of work.
  • Follow company work rules and department procedures and attend required department and hotel meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company, brand, and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Follow procedures for guest and team-member incidents and hotel emergency procedures.
