About the company

Courier Newsroom operates a network of digital-first, local news outlets in battleground states with a mission to provide factual, values-driven news that counter disinformation. It runs local-branded outlets like the Copper Courier in Arizona and The Gander in Michigan, producing articles, videos, and newsletters that cover local issues and politics. Content is created and distributed primarily through social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to reach audiences who do not actively seek out or pay for news. Revenue comes from philanthropy, corporate underwriting, sponsorships, and reader contributions, with a stated firewall between funding and editorial decisions.
