  • A bachelor's degree with appropriate licensure or certification is required.
  • Provisionally or independently licensed in the state of practice in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or another behavioral health-related field.
  • CPR and BFA certification are required.
  • Proficiency in communication and written skills.
  • Knowledge of state and federal statutes regarding patient confidentiality laws.
  • Knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records utilizing HeatherAI.
  • Proficiency in documenting medical standards per ASAM and LOCUS criteria.
Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to assigned patients following the program curriculum provided by the Clinical Director.
  • Complete and ensure appropriate sign-off of all required documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures, state regulations, Joint Commission standards, and Medical Needs Criteria. Required documentation includes the Biopsychosocial Assessment and Integrated Summary within 72 hours; Comprehensive Problem List; Integrated Master Treatment Plan and Updates within 24–72 hours based on payer; ASAMs within 24 hours based on state standards; individual, family, and group therapy session notes within 24 hours; and Discharge Summary within 72 hours.
  • Use substance abuse and co-occurring therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques to assist patients in accomplishing treatment plan goals and objectives and successfully completing treatment.
  • Assess patients for substance use disorders, risk to self or others, and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Use therapeutic interventions to assist patients in accomplishing treatment plan goals and objectives and successfully completing treatment.
  • Manage aftercare recommendations and support to prepare patients to maintain successful recovery.
  • Provide group therapy.
  • Provide caseload management as required by state requirements.
  • Participate in crisis intervention with patients as needed.
  • Participate with multidisciplinary teams, such as Financial Case Managers, to provide appropriate aftercare planning and secure resources.
  • Complete documentation daily to meet the metric of 92% completion within compliance.
  • Attend Daily Flash Meetings in the absence of the Clinical Director or Assistant Clinical Director.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews.
  • Maintain healthy boundaries with patients and staff.
  • Ask for and accept feedback from supervisors.
  • Provide a safe and therapeutic environment for staff and patients.
  • Communicate significant patient developments to a supervisor.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement activities and contribute to organizational success.
  • Pursue professional development through participation in education and training programs.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field is preferred.
  • Preliminary licensed candidates pursuing a path to independent licensure are preferred.
  • At least one year of behavioral health work experience is preferred.
