Requirements
  • Be a member in good standing of the OIIQ.
  • Have at least 2 years of recent, specific obstetrics experience and full command of the prepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum processes.
  • Hold current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and AMPRO (multidisciplinary approach to obstetric risk prevention) certifications.
  • Have a valid driver's license and access to a car.
Responsibilities
  • Provide close and continuous clinical monitoring of clients in labor during the prepartum and intrapartum phases.
  • Actively and safely assist the on-call physician during deliveries.
  • Provide immediate and ongoing postnatal care to the mother and newborn.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of patients in the delivery room and on the care unit.
