What believers are saying

  • General Atlantic updated its Reliance Health investment page on 2026-03-14, signaling continued support.
  • Official 2026 clinic pages list Abuja, Port Harcourt, and eight active RFC locations.
  • The company still markets 24/7 virtual consultations for employers, preserving recurring B2B revenue.

What critics are saying

  • In July 2025, Reliance Health cut 106 employees to chase breakeven immediately.
  • Ex-employees said growth outside Nigeria lagged, crushing Egypt and Senegal expansion economics.
  • If more capital evaporates, clinic-heavy expansion and multi-country underwriting failures can kill the company.

What makes Reliance Health unique

  • Reliance Health combines insurance, telemedicine, and owned clinics across Nigeria and Texas-based operations.
  • General Atlantic backs a healthcare platform with eight Reliance Family Clinics in 2026.
  • It sells integrated corporate wellness and 24/7 virtual care, not single-point telemedicine.
