Requirements
Food service experience is preferred.
Must be able and willing to support the mission of Lydia Home Association.
Must be available to work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Responsibilities
Assist the chef in ensuring smooth kitchen operations and serving nutritious, appealing meals three times daily for children living at Lydia Home, while complying with all regulations.
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen work environment.
Routinely introduce new foods and tastes to encourage lifelong healthy eating.
Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh.
Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.
Bake, grill, steam, and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods.
Occasionally serve food.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes.
Handle and store ingredients and food.
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Check the quality and freshness of ingredients.
Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers.
