- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Five to seven or more years of progressive logistics or supply chain management experience, including multi-site or regional oversight.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, and data analytics tools.
- Strong financial acumen and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to make fast, data-driven decisions during disruptions.
- Lead third-party logistics operations across a defined territory, overseeing employees and independent contract carriers, merchandise delivery, and warehouse operations at multiple facilities.
- Manage budgets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Design and implement transportation routes, distribution strategies, and inventory flows to reduce transit times and improve efficiency.
- Hire, train, and mentor facility general managers, supervisors, and dispatchers, and recruit independent contract carriers.
- Lead analytics initiatives using key performance indicators, dashboards, and reporting tools to improve logistics performance and reduce costs.
- Ensure all operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Analyze key performance indicators, transportation costs, delivery performance, and network efficiency to identify cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities.
- Travel frequently throughout the assigned territory and split responsibilities between remote leadership and on-site warehouse operations.
